Here we go!

Astrea Baldwin is a foul mouthed Southern girl who works very hard at hiding her ridiculous combination accent of North Carolina Sandhills and Georgia Red Clay drawls. She’s married, has one grown daughter, loves hockey, has two cats, three dogs, a bird, and way too many pet fish. By day, she has a license to kill — if only bugs — and by nights and weekends, lives in two highly overpopulated fantasy worlds.

I originally started this blog as a way to embarrass myself into writing an Urban Fantasy novel based in World #1. If I went public, I’d be embarrassed to death if I didn’t finish it. Get me? Cool. Well, I finished it. Now what? The answer is obvious, but the people who live in seriously neglected World #2 are clamoring for my attention. So is Twitter. And Facebook. And this blog. And my day job. And the billion animals in this house. And … *sigh*. Sometimes, I need a break. What I really need is an agent.

Which is harder than one even dreams. How do you find an agent these days that’ll take a UF writer whose universes consist mostly of male gay and/or bi characters? I dunno, but he/she is out there–somewhere–and I will find them.

I talk about my pets a lot; I talk about New Orleans a lot. What I don’t really talk about as much as one might think is writing. I’m not qualified to tell anyone jack about writing. Maybe someday, but not today. Sometimes, I might share something I probably shouldn’t, but screw it, it’s my party and I’ll cry if I wanna. I might cry, but I’m enjoying the ride.
